Overview

The Department of Forensic Analytical Toxicology was founded in 1984. It was united with Department of Analytical Toxicology in Pharmacy College in 1988. The current department director is Prof. Linchuan LIAO. Our faculty members consist of 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 1 laboratory technician. We conduct teaching tasks of Analytical Toxicology,Forensic Medicine for undergraduate students, oversea students, and postgraduate students at various levels. Our academic interests focus on establishing determination methods related with drug (toxicant) as well as their pharmacokinetics and distributions. We have undertaken many projects including National Science and Technology Support Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, CMB fund, etc. These researches refer to the pharmacokinetic and distribution of drug (toxicant), the association between human diseases and genes. Our department has all kinds of equipment for research and teaching, such as gas chromatography, gas chromatography mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, etc.
